Training 47 : ???

Well, this one I tried something more fantasy/steampunk/weird, and it turns out pretty cool to me, I love the way it look. I think I should dig deeper toward more cars like this, it look real cool.

Training 46 : Truck

This time, I tried something a bit unusual, and frankly not really efficient, by placing a smaller set of wheels behind the front one, but it look nice at least !

Training 45 : Classy farmers

This time, I've gone for a more utilitarian style, but with a slight "fancy" twist with the long nose and straight cabin.

Training 44 : More funky Hotrod

After the "Ford"ish 30's Rod from yesterday, now it's more of a 50's style Rod, with useless aerofin and other chunky details.

Training 43 : Restart after a long pause !

After a long drawing pause (I was working on some 3D project that I'll post here soon enough), I decided it was time to restart drawing a bit everyday.

To restart easy, I made a wacky hotrod looking car.

Training 42 : Preparation for a big battle (9) !

This time, more of a ground based Mecha, but armed with several types of guns and canon ! The house "backpack" look fun I think.

This time, even bigger ship with more guns and weapons (For my friend Emilien !).

Training 40 : Preparation for a big battle (7) !

Like training 39, this one is focusing a slightly bigger ship, sort of heavily armed and carrying a funny boat profile.

This time, I tried to work out the style for bigger ships, and this one is actually a small carier, with 2 fighter attached on it. In a way it look like a flying truck, which I think look nice.

Same as training 37, I'm now exploring styles on smaller ships and units, to get a better understanding of details and overall styling key points.

After working on the main ship, now it's time to explore a bit the style on smaller and more nimble ships.

Training 36 : Preparation for a big battle (3) !

This one, it's more like the enemy ship, as for a battle you need at least two facing opponents. One will be the advanced military looking one, and this one will be more of a steam-punk "ish" ships, with houses and woods on it.

More research on this one will obviously come later.

Today, same ship as yesterday, but I worked a bit more on the balance, and I think there is something more interesting going on compare to the first iteration.

I guess I will mess around a bit more with it before fixing the design.

Training 34 : Preparation for a big battle !

I have a new idea for a drawing, but it's going to require a bit of time and precision, so I'm starting by first fixing the design of the ships that I will use, or at least the main ships.

Here is the first one, a big type battle cruiser, primarily use as an HQ and launching tracks.

Today's is just about experimentation and combination of different elements and textures.

Training 32 : Ice Cream "Truck"

This one, is heavily inspired by american Ice Cream truck.

The shape is cool, but the lettering on the side is really weird.

Training 31 : One month !

I myself have a bit of a hard time to believe it, but I did stick to my idea of drawing on a daily basis.

Training 30 : Square Utility

This one, is mostly a "useful" one, I drew it with a specific idea in mind :

Being an emergency robots, that can fits into a cube while not used.

Training 29 : Mechanical ostrich

This was a fun one to draw, as I tried to apply a bit more depth to the structure, wile focusing on the pose for both heads.

Training 28 : Treehouse 2

This one is a bit better architecture wise, even if it's still a bit wacky.

First try during this training sessions, a Treehouse. The house could get more detailed here and there.

Training 26 : Fish

After the boat-ish looking drawing from yesterday, I chose to draw a fish-ish ship for today.

Training 25 : Nomad ?

Second experimentation today, with a style I use a lot, but combine with elements that are still fairly new to me.

Training 24

I tried something else today, not the best one so far. I feel like it misses arms or something.

Training 23 : Robot !

Finally, after several failed attempts, I ended up with a robot that I like, inspired by the Manga "Gurren Lagann" (Thank you Pierre-Antoine for the inspiration).

Legs are probably a bit to tiny, and the robot's chin maybe a bit too wide.

Training 22 : Space dancer !

Tonight, focus on wing shapes and angles. I've put together simple solutions, but I think it give an interesting stance to the ship, almost like it's about to dance.

Training 21 : Nothing special

For tonight I tried a sort of inspired "Gurren Lagann" mecha (Thank you Pierre-Antoine), but it was just a massive failure, so I went on for a simple and easy side view of a cow thingy.

The more complex one will come as soon as I figure out how to do it...

Training 20 : Colors !!!

As explain yesterday for my training 19, today's focus was on finishing the colored version of my "bike".

Still a lot to learn, but for a first try I'm quite satisfy with it.

Training 19 : Colors !

Long story short : I received a pen tablet for valentine's day, so why not start training right away !
Blue part is "done", grey need some more value.

I tried my best to create an interesting flying bike, this time avoiding to add any light/shadow value.

The final coloring will be part of training 20, but so far color blocking look like this.

Training 18 : City Spaceship

3 times in a raw, today's inspiration is coming from one friend (Emilien !). The idea of training my drawing is not only drawing subject that I don't usually do, but also the way that I do it.

I usually don't draw in perspective because I'm lazy, and in small sizes. This one, is a A3 3D"ish" floating city.

Down below you can see the preparation drawing that I did before jumping onto the A3, in order to get a better understanding of how several things would look like.

Although it was fun, it took me roughly 4 hour from first research sketches to final drawing...

Training 17 : Spaceships !!!

Once again, thanks to a friend (again Emilien), tonight is Spaceship night.

Those could be of a small and medium type ship, if attached to a fleet of numerous ships. Probably not well suited for fighting, but surely agile and quick in tricky situation.

Training 16 : Mecha !

After over-using my Houses for a wile, I decided to try on new subject ( thank to my friend Emilien).

More work can be done on the limbs, but so far it look like a Mecha !

Training 15 : 46

So, this might be my first bike with the number 46 on it. Very dynamique sequence, so far it look "fine".

This was sort of "easy" because of the mere-non existing perspective. Somehow the bike look tiny on my drawing... More like a 125cc than a 1000cc...

"Training 14 & Houses 11" : 2 weeks complete !

Well, this is going well so far ! Two weeks in and I'm still not bored ! Doing those thing in "3D" is very unusual so far for me.

I'll have to start using more complex perspective soon I believe, but this one will do for now.

Training 13 : Tree more Tree

Like yesterday, today's subject is a Pine. I really am getting use to switching between subject that I usually don't draw that much, and I enjoy it !

Today's Pine, is a Stone Pine "Pinus Pinea", with quite a lovely "head" and thin trunk.

Training 12

Time to start larger scale I think. This one, more than one tree (one small step at a time).

Those are Scots Pine "Pinus Sylvestris". I have a to find a better way to draw leaves.

Training 11

Well, when I draw people they always end up looking funny. But at least now I start to know why.

Proportion are still getter better, but not great though.

"Training 10 & Houses 10" : Well, it's a boat !

When I draw my usual "Houses", I tend to stay on a flat view. But I really think it could be more entertaining to see it as a volume.

So, here goes nothing, a walking boat with an "ok" perspective.

I really like this one, probably because of the change of point of view. More like those to come now !

Next time, probably a scene with 2 mecha.

Well, at least legs are getting "better", but the rest still look funny.

This position isn't the most obvious to draw, but still it's an interesting challenge.

Ok, I agree this one doesn't really work as nor look like a house, it's more like a Banana walking truck.

And yes, Banana goes like this in Japanese : バナナ

Well, there is still some weird bits, but I'm starting to get a better understanding at how to draw Human body.

For some reason I always make their legs way too short...
